Kathy moved from Atlanta, Georgia, to Temple Hills, Maryland, where she received training from Minister of Music Danni Belle Hall at AME Zion Full Gospel Church, now known as From The Heart Church Ministries, under the leadership of Pastor John Cherry. She also finished her Bachelor’s Degree in Music and Psychology while in Maryland. She was promoted to the position of Director of Music when Minister Hall went home to be with the Lord, and remained at From The Heart Church Ministries for several years.

It was here that she met Raymond Horry, now Pastor Horry, as he worked in the Music Department.  The couple enrolled in the pre-marital class at From The Heart, where they remained for over a year and a half. Pastor Cherry kept them in the class for so long, because he recognized the call on both their lives, and he wanted to make sure, to the best of his ability, that they were prepared for the journey ahead. The couple agrees that the time and the class were well worth it.  The couple finally wed on September 28th, 2001, in San Diego, California, at a marriage retreat held by From The Heart Church Ministry.

God directed the couple to St. Charles, Missouri where Minister Horry is Praise and Worship Leader at the “Ark of Safety Christian Church” under the leadership of none other than Pastor Raymond D. Horry, Sr.  She leads the congregation to the throne room as their hearts are prepared to receive the Word of God.

In June, 2006, Pastor Ray and Minister Horry responded to the call to lead a congregation of people who wanted to walk uprightly before God.  Thus, Minister Kathy fully supports her husband in pasturing one of the fastest growing churches in the Missouri area.  She is currently the Minister of Music at “The Ark”.

Minister Kathy has recorded four gospel CDs: Faith, A Safe Place, It’s Harvest Time, and From Grace To Glory. Additionally, she has published her autobiography, also entitled From Grace To Glory.  As Pastor Ray and Minister Kathy Horry do the work of God that they were sent here to do, they are also the proud parents of two sons, RJ and Raynard, and one daughter, Witney.
